PUBG Mobile Had Been Removed From Indian Play store And App Store

The ban is the latest move against Chinese companies in India amid a months-long standoff over a disputed border but the timing and the target were particularly tough for young people. They have been using the game to stay in touch with friends while schools and colleges are shut to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

The Indian government banned an additional 118 China-linked apps in India. The list included PUBG Mobile, one of the most popular gaming apps in India. After almost two days since the ban, PUBG Mobile has now been removed from the Google Play Store and the App Store in India.

PUBG Mobile banned in India: Within two days of the ban, both Google and Apple had Removed PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite app.

It had been a day since the ban was announced yet the game was still available on Play Store and online for gamers to play. It was expected that the Indian servers of the game will go offline at the midnight of September 3, 2020, and will be removed from respective application markets. Now, even though the game has been banned and removed from the Play Store, players have still been able to continue to play the game on their pre-installed devices. 

While users who already have the battle royale game in their smartphones can still play it as of now, both Pubg Mobile And Pubg Mobile Lite are soon to be blocked by ISPs as well, which will stop people from using the apps on their smartphones and remove them.

 The apps have been banned as they allegedly hampered the security and privacy of the users and even stole users' data to send the data to servers outside of India.

 

Searching for PUBG Mobile on the App Store and Play Store leads to no results. Since the game has been pulled from the official application markets, it won't be long before the game stops working altogether in India and players cannot access the game.

This was the same reason due to which the government banned 59 Chinese apps back in June. The list included popular names such as TikTok, CamScanner, Beauty Plus, Shein, UC Browser, and more. Following this, 47 more apps were eventually banned as they were claimed to be clones of the first set of apps banned. In totality, India as blocked more than 200 Chinese apps as of now.

Meanwhile, PUBG PC is available in the country and players will be able to play the game on their desktop or gaming consoles.
